The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a subscription box that delivers 4-7 vegan beauty products to you each month. The February 2016 box is my second box (you can read about the first one here.) So far, I think this month’s box is really good!
Tara Smith Haircare Base Coat Serum ($13) | This is an anti-frizz hair serum made with starflower seed extract and coconut oil. It’s free from parabens, SLES, glycols, phthalates, PEGS, artificial coloring, synthetic fragrances, and animal-derived ingredients, BUT it does contain silicones, which I tend to keep away from my curly hair. I’m willing to try it anyway, though!
Harvey Prince Organics Yogini ($23) | This is a mini perfume roller. The scent is much “darker” than I normally go for, but I actually really like it. According to the site, Yogini’s notes are sandalwood, golden amber, sensual incense, and Egyptian myrrh.
The Wonder Seed Facial Cream ($16.95) | All of this brand’s products are made with hemp seed oil, which I’ve heard many great things about. The facial cream claims to “nourish skin, “balance oil profile”, and “seal in moisture to reduce the appearance of fine lines.”
100% Pure Eye Creamstick Liner ($18) | Probably my favorite item in February’s box, this cream eyeliner has impressed me so far. It’s a dual-ended cream eyeshadow stick. On one end is Champagne, an incredibly unique shade, at least in my collection. It’s a taupy blueish color that looks almost silver when blended out. On the other end is Chocolate, a warm satin brown that complements Champagne nicely.
The total value of the products in this month’s box is $70.95, an excellent deal! I noticed today that Vegan Cuts has raised the price of the box from $19.95 per month to $22.95. Since I signed up before February, I will continue to receive my boxes for the original price until June 2016.
What did you think of this month’s box? I’ll definitely be checking out more of 100% Pure’s makeup!
