I’m forgoing a February favorites post (I didn’t have many favorites anyway) to share a Colourpop haul! I’ve been seeing rave reviews for this new, affordable brand the past few months, and I couldn’t ignore the hype any longer. I decided to pick up a small variety of their products to try out. Keep scrolling for more pictures and swatches…
Everything came packaged very securely in a small box. I even got a hand-written thank you note-always a nice touch! Each product came with a corresponding card with application tips and other info.
I picked out two eye shadows ($5 each), two blushes ($8 each), and three Lippie Stix ($5 each). The only products I didn’t purchase were the Lippie Pencils (each Lippie Stix has a matching Lippie Pencil that you can choose to use with the Lippie Stix…or not!). The packaging is pretty nice for the price-it doesn’t feel “cheap”. The shadows and blushes come with a screw-on lid, and the Lippie Stix caps pop off.
The shadows are intense! I picked out Patridge, a pearlized brown with olive green shimmer, and Cricket, a metallic purple with multi-colored shimmer.
The blushes are every bit as intense as the shadows. I don’t usually experiment too much with blush, so I went wild and picked out two of the brightest shades, Homie, a matte magenta, and Tonic, a matte neon orange.
It was so difficult to pick out which Lippie Stix to buy…so many unique, beautiful colors. In the end, I chose LBB, a matte plum wine, Frida a satin nude-pink, and Lumière, a matte mauve.
This is what the shadows and blushes looked like after swatching. They are definitely a cream-to-powder type product. They feel super soft to the touch and are silky smooth on the skin.
So far, I’m very impressed with everything! I especially love that all the products are affordable, cruelty-free, and made in the USA. If you’re looking for comprehensive swatches of lots of colors, I highly recommend this video from Shaanxo, and this one and this one from Kathleen Lights (Lumière is a collab with Kathleen Lights!).
That’s it! Have you tried anything from Colourpop? I’d love to know your favorites!
