Empties #2

I feel like it’s so hard to take a good picture for an empties post! Anyway, here’s what I’ve used up the past couple of months…

Giovanni Moisturizing Shave Cream | This was a completely random purchase from Ricky’s over the summer. I had been battling intensely dry and itchy legs for quite a while, and thought maybe it was caused by the fragrance in the shaving cream I was using. Well, that wasn’t the case because even though this shave cream was fragrance-free and targeted specifically for sensitive skin, my dryness continued. I have since moved on to a new shave cream, and I can safely say that while this product wasn’t a complete flop, I’m not going to repurchase it.

Arm & Hammer Whitening Booster | I picked this up on the recommendation of a random comment on a random teeth-whitening article sometime last year. You use this by plopping a bit of it on top of your regular toothpaste and then brushing like normal. I wish I could say conclusively that this had any kind of whitening effect, but I just can’t say that it did. I never noticed a difference in my teeth after using up two or maybe three tubes of this stuff, and it’s supposed to whiten in just one week. Needless to say, I kind of forgot about it until I saw this in my empties bag, so it has not been missed in my routine!

Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Boosting Mousse | I LOVE this mousse! My hair just looks GOOD when I use it. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, and there is no crunch or crispiness to be found when I use it. This has been featured in a monthly favorites for good reason. I will definitely be repurchasing this.

Eucerin Original Healing Lotion | I wasn’t a huge fan of this stuff. It’s quite thin and greasy, and I didn’t find it to be that moisturizing at all. It’s such a shame when you buy a huge bottle of lotion and then end up not liking it!

L’Oreal EverSleek Reparative Smoothing Conditioner | This has been my go-to conditioner for at least six months now. I just can’t find any faults with it. I think I’m on my fifth or sixth tube now.

L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream | If you read this blog with any kind of regularity, you’ll know I love this stuff. I mention it ever other post, I swear. It’s easy, quick, and has great coverage.

Paula’s Choice Scar Reducing Serum | I love, love, love this stuff. I used it religiously in the months leading up to my wedding last year, and I even got a (extremely rare) compliment on my skin while I was wearing no makeup whatsoever. I credit that compliment to this product. My one complaint is that it’s kind of expensive for only .5 ounces of product. It does not last long at all-I would say maybe three weeks if you use it morning and evening. I’m also convinced there’s more product hiding inside the packaging, but there’s no way to pry it open to see. Boo.

Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Moisture Gel | This was my night cream for quite a while. I think it’s fine for the summer months, but it doesn’t cut it for me in winter. I need something extra moisturizing like Cerave for the dry months.

Anastasia Brow Wiz | I won’t say much about this since I’ve raved about it too many times already. I mostly wanted to include it in an empties post to say that I am extremely pleased with how long it lasted! I used it no fewer than five days a week for months, and I just used it up last week.

Have you tried any of these products? Do you have any teeth whitening advice? I’m all ears!
