November was a slow month on the blog; I’m sorry about that. I did still manage to buy and try out several new items, though. Here’s what I fell in love with…
Chloé Eau de Parfum | I’ve pretty much stuck with two perfumes for the past year or so, but I’ve really wanted to start branching out with my scents. During my last few trips to Sephora, I would make a point to stop at the roller ball display and sniff a few fragrances. The classic Chloé scent stuck out to me, and I decided to use my rewards points for this teeny tiny bottle. I really don’t know much about perfumes and I’m horrible at describing them, but I’m pretty much obsessed with this floral, feminine scent.
Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liners | These lip liners may just be the stand-out products of the month for me. I am flat-out OBSESSED. I LOVE that they’re retractable. The shape of the product makes it a dream to apply – you can get really precise, but it’s also big enough so you can fill in your entire lip in no time. You can wear these alone, or apply a gloss over top. I find the staying power is great, especially layered under another product. I started out with the colors “Enchantment” and “Pure”, then went out and bought “Eastend Snob” after the lovely Caitlin of Bubblewrappedblog recommended it. Word on the street is “Eastend Snob” is a dupe for the extremely popular Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. I’m so glad I picked it up!
Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Boosting Mousse | There is such a difference in my curls when I use this product. When I use a gel, my hair gets crispy and stiff and don’t look defined or bouncy. With this mousse, my curls are light, defined, and there’s no hint of crunch. I totally recommend this to all the curly-haired ladies and gents out there!
Maybelline Color Elixir “Caramel Infused” | I’ve had the Color Elixir in “Captivating Carnation” ever since these were launched, and I’ve used and loved it loads since, so when Anna of Vivianna Does Makeup claimed “Caramel Infused” was basically MAC’s Patisserie in lip gloss form, I new I had to have it. The color is heavenly, a MLBB shade but slightly warmer. The formula is probably one of my favorites when it comes to gloss, and it lasts for hours and hours.
L’Orèal Infallible Eye Crayon “Enduring Rose” | I found this eyeshadow stick among the new releases in the drugstore recently. I know eye crayons have been done with great success by brands like NYX, but I haven’t really tried any before and picked this up on a whim. I absolutely love the color. It’s a shimmery champagne that gives such a pretty sheen on the lids. I find that you do have to apply the product in layers to build it up, but once you get it to your desired opaqueness, it’s really gorgeous. It does crease, so you have to use a primer first.
What have you been loving this month?
