Aubergine Eye Featuring LORAC Mega Pro Palette

megapro3

Today, I finally got to play around with the LORAC Mega Pro Palette! Since Mulberry is the standout shade of the palette (for me, at least!), I went with a look centered around the deep reddish-violet shade. Intense eye looks aren’t my forte, but I want to start branching out from my normal routine.

I wanted to do a halo eye. I’m not sure how successful I was, but I liked the end result well enough! I’m definitely going to practice a lot more, though. I started by applying the shade Blush all over my lid. I then applied Merlot to the inner and outer corners using a crease brush. I used Mulberry (the tiniest bit!) to blend the colors outward. After lots and lots of blending, I applied Merlot under my lower lashes. To finish it off, I lined my upper lash line with Espresso, winging it out slightly and smudging it to soften the line. The one thing I would change is to use Merlot only on the outer half of my lower lash line and apply Blush on the inner half instead.

It’s a little intense for daytime, but I think it’s a great look for a night out!

I think you did a great job on the lids! The reddish tones look super nice in combination with that nude lip and your dark hair. Also may I add – the Amazonian Clay foundation totally sold me seeing it on your skin. If only if was easier to get my hands on it.

Thank you! I do like the foundation, however I find it clings to dry patches, and it creases around my nose immediately!
