Fall Fashion Haul Part 2: Clothing

I’ve picked up quite a few things for fall recently, and thought I’d share a few quick pictures and mini reviews/thoughts on some of the pieces. Click through to have a gander!

First up, jeans! I wear them literally every day. I’ve been on a lifelong quest to find the perfect skinny jeans that aren’t too long on me. I’m 5’3″ with short legs, so I haven’t been very successful until recently. Through lots of research, I’ve discovered Uniqlo Ankle-Length Jeans work very well for me, and that’s where the gray jeans in the first picture are from. I love the zipper at the ankle, and I think they are great for a casual look. The second pair of jeans are the Jamie Jeans from Topshop. If you watch a lot of beauty videos on Youtube, you’ve likely heard of Essiebutton and would know that these are her all-time favorite jeans. I have a similar shape to her, and figured these would fit me well, and Ta-da! They do. These have got to be the shortest skinny jeans out there. They’re so short, I don’t think my ankles have ever experienced so much fresh air. I definitely recommend these for all the petite ladies out there who are sick of rolling up their jeans!

This little number is from Asos. I needed a layering piece, and I made a good choice with this cami tank. It drapes so beautifully on me. I’d definitely order it on other colors if they had more, but sadly, they do not.

I picked up this top at H&M on a whim (cannot find on the website), and I haven’t quite made up my mind about it. I think it looks a little matronly, but I’ve been trying to buy a few more things with patterns instead of just plain black everything all the time.

These two tops are both from the Gap Factory Outlet Store in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. I wasn’t planning on buying anything at Gap, in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from Gap in my life, but my friend had a coupon for $50 off a $100+ purchase, and these two seemed nice. Not to knock Gap, but I’ve always thought it was a little overpriced. I’ve already worn the sweater once, and I really liked it! The t-shirt will be a nice layering piece, I think. Also, if you want to see chaos and destruction, go to a Gap Outlet Store in Bay Ridge on a Saturday.

The last three things are all from Uniqlo, aka my favorite store of all-time. I’m not exaggerating when I say both mine and my husband’s wardrobes are at least 75% Uniqlo. The quality is really good for the price. In fact, I rarely shop at H&M or Forever21 anymore because the prices are the same, but the quality is so much worse than Uniqlo. Everything I’ve ever gotten from Uniqlo has held up amazingly. I swear, when I discovered their Leggings Pants, I wore them literally every single day for months. I could go on and on and on about my love for Uniqlo, but let’s get to the three tops. The striped sweater is made of merino wool, and it’s so comfy and chic. The cardigan is a cashmere blend that I picked out because I needed a really warm black sweater. Can you tell I like black yet? The last piece is this super girly printed top. Please excuse the wrinkles; this picture was taken hastily by my husband at the end of the day. Despite the thin, wrinkle-prone fabric, I can’t help but love it. I think it would be adorable with a high-waisted skirt and a cardigan over top.

That’s everything! I try not to go over-the-top and get too many superfluous pieces, and I think I’ve managed to build a pretty well-rounded wardrobe this year. Tell me, where do you like to shop? Is there anyone else out there who shares my love for Uniqlo?
