September Favorites

Another month gone by. I did more than my fair share of shopping this past month, but there were only five products that really stood out to me.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in “Dark Brown” | I could not hold off on this any longer. This may be the most popular brow product I know of, and I can confidently say it deserves the praise. It has a spoolie on one end, and a tiny nib on the other. What more do you need for your brows, really? The formula and the color are excellent. The nib is hard and waxy, the color is cool and ashy. Just perfect. I used to use Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, and while I did love it, the Brow Wiz is so much easier and quicker to use.

Clarisonic Mia | After coveting the Clarisonic Mia for a good two years, I finally took the plunge a few weeks ago. I was incredibly afraid that I’d be disappointed, that it would break me out, or worse, that it would do nothing. I’m sooooo happy and pleasantly surprised that I’ve actually seen improvements in my skin since using it! I even use it more often than recommended. I’ve noticed subtle improvements in the texture of my skin, and my post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has faded quicker than usual. I’ve also been getting fewer breakouts, although that could be for a couple different reasons. The Clarisonic is my new skincare BFF.

L’Oréal True Match Foundation in “N2 Classic Ivory” | This foundation has been getting tons of love in the beauty world recently, so I decided to check it out for myself. I really, really like it. My favorite foundation of all time is the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation, and the True Match definitely rivals it. I actually find them really similar. Good coverage, good staying power, great shade match. Not much more to say. This is a great foundation.

DevaCurl No-Poo | I just recently talked about this shampoo in my latest review, so I don’t have too much more to say. It’s a great non-lathering shampoo, or cleansing conditioner, whichever you prefer. It does an excellent job of cleansing my hair and scalp without drying them out. I’ve become a bit obsessed with haircare for curly hair, and I can see myself using No-Poo for a long, long time.

Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick in “Make a Mauve” | This was a bit of a surprise favorite. I randomly picked it up, thinking it would be a great dark blush for fall, but I wasn’t expecting to like it so much. I’ve used it almost every single day since I picked it up. It’s deceptively dark in the tube, but it blends out to look super natural and pretty. It gives you that flushed look you get after walking in the crisp fall air. It works well either stippled on the cheeks with a brush, or applied directly onto the skin and blended out with fingers.

So, have you tried any of these products? I’d love to know your opinions! What have you been loving this month?

I have a Clarisonic as well, and I feel it just cleans so much better than my hands alone!

I have a clarisonic Mia and I love mine. Used it for years. I also have used the foundation you mentioned. It blends perfectly into my skin. I may have to give that blush a try.

I haven’t heard those blushes mentioned very much, but I personally think they’re great!
