It’s been quiet on the blog this past week. I haven’t had much free time lately, and I didn’t want to rush any posts. That being said, there will be plenty of exciting things coming up, including a big clothing haul! Now, back to the task at hand, fall makeup. I’ve never been one to embrace seasonal makeup, or really to follow any trends, but I do think it’s an easy way to switch up your look, which is what I tried to do today. This is by no means an every day look, at least for me. It’s something I would do for spending the day shopping or for meeting up with friends.
I started with my new L’Oréal True Match foundation in N2 Classic Ivory, Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach, and MUFE Full Cover Concealer in 3. On my brows, I used the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Dark Brown. I wanted to do a darker eye look, so I popped on some shades from my Naked 1 palette that I don’t normally go for, Smog, Darkhorse, and Creep. I used Smog all over the lid with Darkhorse in the outer corner and crease. I used Buck to blend them out, and I blended a tiny bit under my lower lashes. Last, I used Creep along my upper lashes, and I “winged” it out slightly for a little more drama. For cheeks, I used a new-to-me product, Maybelline Master Glaze by Facestudio Blush Stick in Make A Mauve. This looks pretty dark in the tube, but it blends out very nicely to a dusky rose color that mimics my natural flush. It’s also very similar in color to my lip product of choice, the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush, which I mentioned in my latest “Shop My Stash” post. I also used Benefit’s High Beam, which I always use when I need a cool-toned highlight. And let’s not forget Benefit They’re Real! Mascara. What are everyone’s thoughts on bottom lash mascara? Does it pull together an eye look? For some reason I’m so scared of it!
There you have it, my go-to fall makeup. Like I said, I couldn’t be bothered to wear this every day, especially to work, but when I have a free day to go out and explore the city, this is definitely the kind of look I can see myself doing for the next few months!
What fall products are you loving this season?
