I purchased this set from Sephora exactly a month ago, so I think now is a great time to share my thoughts with you. Over the past couple years, I’ve seen the Advanced Night Repair serum mentioned here and there, always in a positive light. For some people, this seems to be a holy grail anti-aging product. I’ve used all three products in the set daily for an entire month now, and I can honestly say…I don’t know if they’ve done much of anything for me. I will say, I’m 25, so the “signs of aging” aren’t really troubling me yet, but I do have the tiniest of fine lines under and at the corners of my eyes. I guess I’m using this as more of a preventative measure. So, let me break it down, product by product.
Advanced Night Repair | This is apparently “proven to dramatically reduce all key signs of visible aging”. I am by nature a skeptic, so I’m really hesitant to say that this product has done anything for me. Some days, I would look at myself in the mirror and think, “Hmmm, maybe my skin looks a bit more plump and youthful?” and some days I would think, “Ugh, I look awful and tired and old.” Trying my best to look back on this past month objectively, I do think my skin has been more moisturized. I have had almost no problems whatsoever with my usual dry patches around my mouth, nose, and brows. It makes sense, since one of the main ingredients is hyaluronic acid, a heavy-duty moisturizer. I definitely like this serum, and will see how my skin reacts when I run out. Side note, the eye-dropper applicator on my bottle seems to have popped out somewhat, as you can probably see in the photo. It still works, but I expect more of a $60+ product!
Advanced Night Repair Eye | The very first thing I noticed when using this the first time is that it tingles ever so slightly. I was quite alarmed at first, thinking I was having a reaction, but after waiting it out, I didn’t see anything bad. After using this for a month, I’ve noticed the skin around my eyes is more moisturized. Before this set, I did not use an eye cream, and simply applied my regular moisturizer around my eye area as well, not taking any special care to apply more there. I like this product because it makes me focus more on taking care of my eye area, and the dryness I used to get at the corners of my eyes is gone. I don’t know if I would purchase it again, though. I think I can go back to using my regular product and make sure to concentrate specifically on my eye area.
Advanced Time Zone | I was confused when I read the info about this on Sephora’s website. It contains SPF, but it says to apply it in the evenings after the Advanced Night Repair. Using it at night is just a waste of SPF, so I chose to use this in the mornings instead. This product is quite rich, and it takes a while to sink into the skin. It leaves a dewy finish, and seems to moisturize well enough. I wasn’t wowed by it, and I don’t think it offers anything more than my usual SPF.
All in all, I like the Advanced Night Repair serum. The other two products in the set are nice, but they’re not something I would jump to repurchase. I did see an improvement in how moisturized my skin looked and felt, but again, I wasn’t wowed. I think for a person in their 20s, this is more of a preventative set of products, and you’re not likely to see many results if you don’t have wrinkles or mature skin to begin with.
