Smith’s Rosebud Salve

You know a product is good when your husband gets hooked on it. Yes, my husband actually stole my first tin from me, forcing me to buy another. Between the two of us, I think we’ve used up four of these in less than a year. That isn’t to say it doesn’t last long-we’re just that obsessed.

There’s definitely a reason this stuff has such a following. It’s so rich and moisturizing. I’ve heard some people say “It’s just a slightly fancier Vaseline”, but it’s so much more than that to me. While I love Vaseline, I find Rosebud Salve to be much more enjoyable to use. It has such a pleasant rose scent and color, although it appears completely clear on the lips. As silly as it sounds, it feels special to open up the tin and dab it on my lips or cuticles. It was formulated in 1892, so I’m sure lots of ladies have felt the same over the years (I wonder if my husband feels the same when he uses it, haha). The company still uses the original formula, and it’s still made in the US, which I love!

So, if any of you haven’t tried this yet, I really, truly recommend it. I use it every night on my lips, and it’s also great for cuticles and any dry patches. You can buy it at Sephora for $6. It has a five-star rating with almost 4,000 reviews!

What products give you “that special feeling”?

I’ve been eyeing this for quite some time but haven’t been to Sephora in a while. Definitely picking this up next time I’m in. Thanks!
